Max Johnson These guys have that electric blues "coming straight out of your basement" sound.. but in a good way. Their tone has those piercing highs and dirty dragging lows that I crave as a fan of Hendrix. These guys are proof you can't judge a band by their album cover.. Slacktide is one hell of a band. Favorite track: Even More to Show.

Have you ever been mistreated? You know just what I'm talking about. Have you ever been mistreated? You know just what I'm talking about. You know I worked five long years for one woman, she had the nerve to put me out. I got a job in a steel mill, I was shuckin' steel just like a slave. Five long years and every Friday I come home with all my pay. Have you ever been mistreated? Well then you know just what I'm talking about. Well, I worked five long years for the same woman, and she had the nerve to put me out. I finally learned my lesson, should a long time ago. The next woman that I marry's gonna have two jobs, she gonna bring me all the dough. Have you ever been mistreated? You know just what I'm talking about. I worked five long years for one woman, she had the nerve, She had the nerve, She had the nerve, She had the nerve to put me out.

Yesterday I started up my truck I realized that it was stuck Just like my life (In this truck) Lost my job three months ago 25 years an' nothing to show But at least I have my truck Yeah I'm broke in America But I can still fix my truck My truck don't need no handout check But I could sure use one, heck I'll tell you, I'm flat out broke My wife is hungry and so am I Our kids are hungry and want to cry But they know'm gonna find a job Yeah I'm broke in America, But I can still get a job Greatest country; God's gift to Earth Gonna give it all it's worth Stand on my own two feet (on American soil) Pray to god my kids will find Faith will guide them just like mine To survive Yeah I'm broke in America, Gonna work for what is mine Our kids will grow up big and strong And lead this country through it all Look for answers in the sky God please guide me through this time Yeah I'm broke in America But I can still fix my truck

about

Well, there's not much to say about this album. It's bluesy. It's loud. It features some pretty cool guitar solos. And a couple really cool songs written by Peter. And, as an added bonus, a funny country parody written by Drew and Michael. We recorded this EP for fun in about 4 hours.
